This Privacy Policy aims to give you information about how we collect and process your personal data when you take part in the Anti Farming Farming Club (“AFFC”) campaign (when you visit the “Website”) – regardless of where you visit these from, including any data that you may provide through our site, when you purchase our products/services, or when you otherwise interact with us.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully and ensure that you understand it. By using this Website, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection, use, processing, and disclosure of your personal data as described in this Privacy Policy.

References to “you” “your” or “Data Subject” are to you as an individual using our site or otherwise contacting us (whether on behalf of yourself, or another individual or organisation).

What Personal Data do we collect and how do we process it?

Personal Data is information that can be used to identify you as an individual or allow someone to contact you, as well as information attributed with such information. We collect different categories of Personal Data, including User-Provided Information and Site Usage Information. We are also able to read on-chain data based on the information we may retrieve from the Wallet you use to connect with on the Website.

User-Provided Information

We collect Personal Data such as:

Identity Data. This may include your full name, (where applicable) your user name, title and date of birth.

Contact Data. This may include your email address, delivery address, home address.

Marketing, communications data, and social media data. If you choose to sign up for marketing communications from us and any collaboration partners of ours, for example through our newsletter, we collect your data to be able to communicate directly with you and record your preferences.

Social Media Data. This includes your social media profile handles and information obtained from your social media profiles and/or personal/ group's websites. This may also include your Telegram handle in case you decided to subscribe to the Telegram channel designated for the AFFC campaign to receive updates on the AFFC campaign.

Technical data. This includes IP addresses from which we may determine your location, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, language settings and other technologies on the devices you use to access the website.

Wallet address: When you connect on our Website to take part in a Quest for the AFFC campaign we will collect your wallet address.

Event Data. If you participate in an event organised by us, we may take your picture, record and/ or film the event. Such footage may be used for promotional purposes, marketing, publicity, and on social media platforms. We will always inform you about this ahead of the event so that you can make an informed decision about attending the event or not.

We will endeavour to keep Personal Data we store about the Data Subject reasonably accurate and up to date by enabling Data Subjects to correct it by themselves or contact us to request a correction, or any other action to their personal data that they have the legal right to take (see below for additional detail on these rights). In such Services that we provide where you have created an account, you may yourself at any time update or remove your data. In situations where you would like to contact us, you may do so by contacting us using the details set out below.

What is the purpose of collecting Personal Data?

We will use the Personal Data held about the Data Subject for the following purposes:

  • To fulfil a contract: this specifically mean to record any points you collect during the AFFC campaign.
  • As required by WoW to conduct our business and pursue our legitimate interests, in particular:
    • enabling you to use our Website, Services and all its applicable features;
    • developing new features, offerings and personalising our Site and Services for you;
    • administering our Services and any account you may create with us;
    • responding to your requests, questions and concerns;
    • undertaking market research to promote a better understanding of our audience; and
    • protecting our rights and property including intellectual property.
  • Where you give us consent:
    • we will send you direct marketing in relation to our Services;
    • we place cookies and use similar technologies; and
    • on other occasions where we ask you for consent, we will use the data for the purpose which we explain at that time.
  • For purposes which are required by law
    • where we are required to hold or collect Personal Data to meet legal requirements on us;
    • where in response to requests by government or law enforcement authorities conducting an investigation.

We will only process Personal Data under the lawful bases set out above.

There are instances where we have a legitimate interest to use your Data. Our legitimate interest will vary depending on what we are using your Personal Data for. Where we process Personal Data on the basis of a legitimate interest, then – as required by data protection law – we have carried out a balancing test to document our interests, to consider what the impact of the processing will be on individuals and to determine whether individuals' interests outweigh our interests in the processing taking place.

We do not anticipate that WoW will make any decisions with respect to Data Subjects’ Personal Data using fully automated means. We will notify you in writing if this position changes.

Personal Data Retention

We will endeavour not to keep Personal Data in a form that allows you to be identified, unless this is the purpose of providing the data for example to create an account and associated profile in a Service provided by us, for any longer than is reasonably necessary for achieving the permitted purposes or until you ask us to stop processing your Personal Data. At the end of the applicable retention period, we may destroy, erase from our systems, or anonymize Personal Data as part of such efforts. To determine the appropriate retention period for Personal Data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the Personal Data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your Personal Data, the purposes for which we process your Personal Data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.

Storage & Transfer of Personal Data

Information will be shared with third party service providers, who will process it on our behalf for certain of the purposes identified above. In particular, we use such third parties for data hosting, connecting your wallet to our Services, debugging, error reporting and usage analytics or for direct marketing purposes where you have signed up to receive communication from us.

If we are sold or integrated with another business, certain of your details may be disclosed to our advisers and any prospective purchaser's adviser and will be passed to the new owners of the business.

We may share information with professional advisors such as insurers, lawyers and other professional advisors for insurance claims, audits and/or the receipt of advisory services. These entities’ privacy notices will provide more detail on this processing.

We may also be required to share Personal Data with governments competent authorities, police, courts, public entities, and other regulatory authorities (including similar regulatory authorities outside the EU, EEA member countries, or the UK).
